According to reports from the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police, the woman fell approximately eight meters (26 feet) from the platform onto a concrete floor after the bungee cord reportedly detached. Emergency services were called immediately, and they performed CPR on the woman, but she was pronounced dead one hour later at a nearby hospital.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the police. However, initial reports suggest that a faulty carabiner clip, which connects the bungee cord to a secure point, might have been responsible for the detachment. Not The First Incident
However, this tragedy is unfortunately not the first incident of fatal death from the adventure sports of bungee jumping as last year in December 2023, a 56-year-old Japanese tourist lost their life after taking the tallest bungee jumping flight from China’s Macau Tower in the Municipality of Macau which resulted in shortness of breath and loss of life after few hours of unconsciousness.
Another 39-year-old man lost his life during bungee jumping in 2019 suffering from spinal cord injuries after the bungee jumping cord snapped resulting in the fatal fall and his death in an adventure park in Gdynia.
