Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ hits Australia!
The Taylor Swift Eras Tour in Australia starts from 16th February 2024 and ends on 26th February 2024. The tour is of total 7 nights, consisting of 3 nights of concert in Melbourne from February 16th, and 4 nights of concert in Sydney from 23rd – 26th February.
Swities will spend a lot of dollars on the tickets for the concerts. Not just this, Interstate fans will spend big on travelling to shows, booking hotels, buying food and drinks, and purchasing merchandise. According to State Government and Modeling, the 7 concerts will generate approximately 140 million dollars.
The 3 concerts of the Taylor Swift Eras Tour in Melbourne will be hosted at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. At the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Taylor Swift will be singing to the biggest crowds of her career; 86,000 every night. Eras tour will be one of the biggest operations the MCG will stage. The 1st official merchandise pop-up will be put up on 13th February from 9AM to 6PM at Crown Melbourne, and pre-sale will also be available on 14th and 15th February from 10AM to 6PM.
Sydney will not have a pop-up shop but the fans can fill in their ‘blank space’ in their merchandise collection at the pre-sale running from at the Corner of Olympic Boulevard and Dawn Fraser Avenue from 10AM to 6PM on 21st and 22nd February. Merchandise will also be sold on the concert dates (23rd – 26th February) from 12pm till the end of the concert. About 3,00,000 Swifties are expected at Accor Stadium over the 4 nights in Sydney.
Both cities are putting on extra trains and buses. Sydney is offering free public transport as a part of ticket purchase. In both the venues; Melbourne and Sydney, the doors will open at 4:30PM, with an opening act from Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter at 6:30PM. Taylor Swift will walk on to the stage and start performing at 7PM. The concert will be a 3 hour marathon show of Taylor Swift performing all her famous songs. It will start with the songs from the albums Lover, Fearless, Evermore, and Reputation, then, Speak Now, Red, Folklore, 1989, and finally Midnights. All 10 minutes of All Too Well will make an appearance too.
