Jennifer Nettles Back With Hosting Farmer Wants a Wife
The authenticity and genuine portrayal of the farmer’s everyday challenges have been emphasized by singer-songwriter Jennifer Nettles, who is set to return for the new season. “I loved being part of season one. What an honor and joy it is to witness and facilitate all of these people on a journey to try to find love,” Nettles said.
Nettles, who has been involved in hosting duties for the show, expressed her belief in the show’s ability to not only entertain but also shed light on the unique and essential way of life led by American farmers. Who Are The Four Farmers on Farmer Wants A Wife Season 2?
With three young and one middle-aged farmer, the 2024 season of “Farmer Wants a Wife” features – Ty Ferrell (42), Mitchell Kolinsky (27), Brandon Rogers (29), and Nathan Smothers (23). These farmers, hailing from Missouri, Tennessee, Colorado, and Florida respectively, have diverse backgrounds in cattle ranching, citrus, potato and barley farming, and horse training.

- TY Ferrell: Ty Ferrell is a 42-year-old rope farmer from Missouri. He has a daughter from his previous marriage and is looking for someone to share his life with. Ferrell, the self-proclaimed “silver fox” believes that “It’s hard to find (love) at my age at 42.”
- Mitchell Kolinsky: Mitchell Kolinsky is a 27-year-old first-generation farmer from Tennessee. He recently bought a plot of land just outside of Nashville and is looking for a woman to share his life with. “Everything happens for a reason, and we’re here today for a reason,” Kolinsky, 27, says.
- Brandon Rogers: Brandon Rogers is a 29-year-old potato and barley farmer from Colorado. He is looking for a partner who would be loving and one who can adjust to the rural lives of Colorado. He is the most remote farmer, and his family owns around 1000 acres of land in Centre, Colorado.
- Nathan Smothers: Nathan is the youngest farmer hailing from Florida. Though Nathan is the youngest, he is looking to settle down early and start a family. He joined the show because “it’s hard for me to find people that are like-minded,” Nathan tells TODAY.com.
What Happened In The Season 1 of Farmer Wants a Wife?
The Season 1 of the dating reality show, Farmers Want a Wife was a mega-hit with an average of 2 to 2.5 million viewers in overnight ratings. The season concluded on May 17, 2023, with three farmers finding love at the end of the show.
But, As of 2024, none of the couples from the first season of “Farmer Wants a Wife” remain together. The couples have called it quits.
However, the upcoming episodes of season 2 are expected to feature a range of exciting activities, including group dates at a Clemson football game in South Carolina, a hoedown at a farm in Missouri, and an overnight stay at a campsite at Chattooga Belle Farms in South Carolina.
