On February 7, In a recent interview with Late Night with Seth Meyers, the Fifty Shades Of Grey actress humorously revealed her experience as a guest star on the iconic TV series, The Office. “It was truly the worst time of my life,” Johnson confessed with a slight laugh. Johnson’s candid remarks have sparked curiosity among fans about her time on the show’s finale.

During the interview, Johnson shared insights into her time on set, highlighting the challenges she faced during the filming of the finale. Despite the show’s popularity and beloved cast, Johnson confessed that her role did not live up to her expectations. She described it as a “terrible” and “unpleasant” experience, revealing how she felt uncomfortable throughout the filming process.

The show producers approached Dakota, “They were like, ‘Do you want to be in the series finale?’. While Dakota was not a big and much-established name in the industry, she was excited to be a part of such a hugely favored series. Dakota eagerly accepted the opportunity to appear in the series finale. While expecting a brief half-day role, Johanson, 34, ended up spending two weeks on set with disappointingly minimal screen time.

In her own words, Johnson shared, “I love that show so much” and signed up for the sitcom. She was like, ‘Of course,’ thinking that I’d show up for, like, half a day. I was there for two weeks and I’m barely in the F-ing show

Seth Meyers Response

Seth Meyers, no stranger to the world of television, though shocked by Dakota Johnson’s revelations responded with genuine curiosity and empathy as Johnson shared her experience.

Meyers asked if it was sad being on the set for the last episode, Johnson revealed, “There were weird dynamics that had been going on for the last 10 years. Some people didn’t speak to each other. And I’m… coming in like ‘So excited to be here!’ No one wanted to talk to me. No one gave a f—…I was like in the background of all of these scenes, faxing things.”

Appreciating her work, Meyers said, “Can I tell you I recently watched it, and it was some of the most believable faxing I’ve ever seen. And a lot of people I think mail it in when they’re in the background of those shows.”

A Brief On Dakota’s Almost Forgotten Role in The Office

The 34-year-old actress known for her roles in films and series like “Fifty Shades of Grey” ‘Madame Web’ and “The Social Network,” made a brief appearance in the series finale of “The Office” back in 2013. She played a small role in the series finale of “The Office”, which is almost forgotten by the audience.

In the episode, Johnson played an accountant named Dakota, whom Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) hires at the office to replace Kevin (Brian Baumgartner) who forges the Balance sheet numbers. Soon, Dakota and Clark started flirting shortly after she arrived at the office.

Her character lacked screen time, as expressed by the Madame Web star above. She only appears in two scenes of the series finale, where she asks Oscar about strange marks on Kevin’s old files and Clark flirts with her. It is clear how the show was more focused on other “important” characters than hers.

Despite her limited screen time, Johnson’s character added a new dynamic to the show’s series finale and made it memorable for the fans.

Reflecting on the Legacy of The Office

Despite her challenging experience, Johnson’s cameo in The Office finale remains a memorable moment for fans of the show. The sitcom, which concluded its nine-season run in 2013, continues to enjoy a dedicated fanbase and is celebrated for its humor, heart, and memorable characters.

Fan’s Reaction To Dakota Johnson’s Revelations

Despite Johnson’s less-than-ideal experience, her honesty has sparked conversations about the complexities of working in Hollywood. Fans have taken to social media to express their support for the actress. While some were surprised at her revelation, others applauded her for her candor and authenticity.
